I know you’ve all seen this over the last couple of days, but it never gets old! Every time I see it, it makes me laugh! And Stratton thinks it’s Hilarious, too! Maybe that’s because he actually knows what they are saying!! Ha-ha!

E-MEALZ Easy Meals for Busy and Frugal Families
I don’t think I have ever shared this on my blog, but I love this program! I subscribed about 2 years ago, and I don’t use it as much as I used to, but that is because I have to deal with such a picky eater in the house (no, not Stratton. I’m talking about Jarrod!) and don’t find myself as organized as I used to be! haha! But I do download the menu every week and I love getting to use the recipes when I can! If you are tired of eating the same stuff over and over every week and love new, EASY recipes. Then try it out! It’s only $15 for 3 months and if you don’t like it you can cancel your subscription. It’s easy to download, and the recipes are not only super easy they are also usually pretty good. I think it’s worth your while to check it out and will hopefully make mealtimes a little easier!!
Even though I am not off for spring break, I am having a great week so far! Stratton’s daycare is closed this week so Stratton is splitting the week between Hickory Ridge and Searcy!! So while he’s off having fun with the Grands, Jarrod and I have big plans for the week!
These are my goals for the week:
1. Go to work well rested and arrive not just on time but EARLY
2. Run errands and shop after work, not at lunch like a crazy person!
3. Watch my favorite TV programs on the night they come on, at the time they come on!
4. Eat whatever we want with no regard to our child's temperamental palette
5. Go to bed early!!!! Like 8pm!
6. Enjoy a house free of toy clutter, sippy cups, shoes and toys scattered about
7. Get a pedicure!
So far so good! I have been about 10-15 minutes early to work, I got a pedicure on Monday and ran some errands after work! And Monday night I was all ready for bed by 9pm and watched Castle snuggled up in my bed, so I could immediately turn over and go to sleep when it went off!! Ahhh the luxury! Another good thing about spring break is there is NO traffic in the mornings! Love it!!
I think we are finally over the stomach bug, or whatever it was! Stratton hasn't been sick since Tuesday! He is definitely getting his appetite back! The boy is about to eat us out of house and home!! He is constantly eating!! But I guess he needs to gain back the almost 3 lbs he lost in the past week somehow! He has also started throwing some little (ok, not so little) tantrums. I was hoping it was just because he was sick and didn't feel good, but I am afraid the "Terrible Two's" may be here!
Here are some things Stratton has been up to this week. . .
So, do you think it's ingrained in the male DNA somewhere that they need to take reading material in the bathroom with them??
Right now he loves anything "Mouse" including, his stuffed Mickey, Mickey Mouse pj's and of course Mickey Mouse clubhouse. Which we now have on the dvr so we can watch it any time of the day or night!! I would say that tractors (John Deere dvds) and Mouse are pretty much his only tv requests these days. And since we have been cooped up in the house for a week we have had our fill of them and then some!! Between James Coffey's John Deere theme song and the Hot Dog song/dance, I am convinced repeated exposure to these songs could be used as torture methods in the military!!
He was amused by his shadow and he sunlight coming through the window. It was funny watching him try to grab it!

I should have known better than to say we were all well and fine. . . Last Thursday Stratton got sick again. I picked him up about 4:30 he had been sick at school and on the way home he threw up in my car. . .again. Did I mention that my next vehicle WILL have leather seats?? Thursday night was horrible to say the least. He got sick about every 2 hours and was so miserable. Jarrod and I were both up with him pretty much all night. Luckily, Jarrod was off on Friday so he stayed home with him. He started running a fever Friday afternoon so we took him to the Dr. He said it was just a virus, and to keep him hydrated and it would pass. . . well, when he was still throwing up on Monday we went back to the Dr and they said the same thing, but to bring him back if it didn't get better or got worse. Tuesday he was still getting sick, so I called and they wanted to see him, so back to the Dr we went again. . . we were afraid they would want to admit him to the hospital, but he wasn't too dehydrated so this time he went ahead and put him on a reflux medicine for a few days in case the strep from last week had caused him to have a temporary reflux problem. Thankfully, today he hasn't been sick and seems to be feeling better I don't know if the virus is finally out of his system or if the meds are working, but either way I am so relieved! Whew! It has been one LONNNNGGG week.
Stratton was feeling better, but had a low temp Thursday night so Jarrod kept him home from Daycare Friday. After I got to work and discovered my "surprise" they came to visit me for awhile. I thought he'd love all the balloons, but it took him a little bit to warm up. . .I guess 300 balloons can be a bit overwhelming!
Jarrod went to HR later Friday morning to go pick up decoys and so he took Stratton by my mom and dad's and left him. . .haha. We needed a break after the last week! So when he got back Friday afternoon all I really wanted to do was put on my comfy clothes and go to bed, but we had a few errands we needed to get done so we headed to the mall. And we didn't leave till almost 10pm! So much for an early night!
Saturday I (tried to) sleep in. Then piddled around the house for most of the day while Jarrod went to the gun show and ran some more errands. Cooper's 3rd birthday party was at 5:30 and it was at Kayce and Steven's new house so we wanted to leave a little early (not that we ever get lost-haha). We got there about 5:15 and Cooper was really disappointed when Stratton wasn't with us (apparently we don't even count to him anymore either!) He as happier when Stratton showed up with my mom and dad about 20 minutes later! Cooper is ALL ABOUT big trucks and tractors and all things construction, so he had a construction themed party and got lots of tools and even a cement mixer! Mom made him a really cute construction cake!
So February is pretty much over and I have no idea where the month went?! It's hard to believe that Spring Break is just a few weeks away!! I am ready for things to slow down already, but as you all know things get crazy around here in the spring!
I have had birthday cards running out the mailbox this week, I got a ton of facebook messages and my guys gave me some awesome gifts this morning (a new Nixon digital SLR camera and a FAB pair of Rayban sunglasses!!) And this is what I found at the office this morning!!. . . .
They worked so hard on all this decorating!

It was really hard working in this environment, so made the girls help me take it all down around 10. We had several visitors that morning, no explanation was necessary, but I could have done without all the laughing and the "pity" looks.
I had to forgive Brandy and Candace since they special ordered me my favorite cookie pops from Cookies N' More with (of course) Pink 30's on them! It made my day!! Turning 30's not such a bad thing after all!!
