Nice start to April

Finally the weather has been nice enough we’ve been able to play outside!

Hopscotch!

Arden’s getting to be a pro at riding her trike!

Plenty of Nerf wars, including Pops and Gigi and the neighbor Sam! Arden cracks me up with her serious face!

We went to Searcy for Memaw’s birthday!

We went to Hickory Ridge to pick up the dining room table and china cabinet and I took these. It’s no wonder why this is and always will be one of my favorite places!

Jarrod had to work out of town for several days this month. We just hung out and played at home.

Stratton got to get his Dinosaur excavation kit out and found dinosaur bones! It was messy but fun!

These kids. They assume when dads away they can take over my bed!

IMG_9238

At least they are sleeping!

Jarrod and I had a mini getaway! I bought him tickets to see Jeff Foxworthy and Larry the Cableguy for Christmas, so we went to Little Rock for that and spent the night! We did a little shopping and it was nice to have some time alone! We left the kids in Searcy and they had fun too! Poor Jarrod has a horrible cold, I think from allergies but he’s felt pretty rotten.

The kids and I planted flowers. Let me re-phase that. I planted flowers they played in the mud.

Yes, they got rinsed with the garden hose. And then I made them strip at the front door before coming in the house and going straight to the shower! They were so flithy!!

A little bit of normal life in March

I got a MAJOR haircut!!

Arden had a tonsillectomy and 4th set of tubes put in.

Before the goofy juice. . .

and after. . .

She gave all those nurses a run for their money. She was a handful. She didn’t want them to do anything to her, they had trouble just getting the arm band on her! We had to be there at 6am, and were done and home around 9am. She had a much slower recovery than Stratton did. She ended up staying home for a week following the surgery. I stayed home with her a couple days, and then Gigi stayed with her a couple days, too.

I framed one of Arden’s paintings. She was so excited that we hung it in the living room!

Watch out world, she may just be the next Picasso!

A young couple is moving to Hickory Ridge and going to rent Grandpa’s house! We went to see if there was anything in the house we wanted. I am getting the dining room table and chairs and china cabinet. What a treasure! It’s so special to me. While we were there the kids found the mud. Of course.

I haven’t been able to talk her into getting a manicure at the salon yet, so we do them at home.

She wanted to match : ) Love my girl!

She also wanted her hair cut like mine! It turned out so cute on her.

And last and definetly least. I was in a fender bender one morning. I got side swiped by a car turning right on red when I had the rightaway. It was his fault and no one was hurt and the damage wasn’t too bad. But it’s just a pain to deal with.
