Ok. So I guess I’m now officially a “once a month blogger”. I don’t know how it happens but the days just fly by. SO much has been going on with us!! . . . .This is just a snippet!
Stratton and Mommy had a date night. We tried to go see the Paddington Bear movie the night it opened, but it was sold out! Poor guy was devastated! He had been looking forward to that all week, so we had to try again! I picked him up from school as a surprise and we went to see an earlier showing time and then ate at Cracker Barrel afterwards!
Notice whose name he is writing- Hello, Not MINE!
January 24th Jarrod and I went to Little Rock for Florida Georgia Line (AND THOMAS RHETT) concert. Jarrod got me the tickets as a late Christmas, early birthday present. I am a Thomas Rhett fan and he was opening for FGL. Honestly, we could have left after TR, he was amazing. . . but the rest of the concert was good to!
Not so “cheap seats” but man they were HIGH up!! I couldn’t stand up without getting lightheaded!!
I started Fitness Bootcamp! It’s a 45 minute class with a combination of cardio and strength training. There are about 4 of us that go 3-4 times a week on our lunch break. And on Fridays we have a personal trainer work with us. So far I have lost about 10 pounds (not that I can really tell or can see it) and I hope to keep it up. The classes are pretty hard and these days I am almost always sore! I’ve been at it a month so far and I’m still dog tired and sore so I’m not sure when that will get better but hopefully soon! If it weren’t for the other girls I wouldn’t have the motivation to go- I guess that’s why it’s so great to do it with a group!
Now, THIS is ME!
My girl is getting SO big. I can’t even tell you what’s she’s doing or saying like I used to could when she was a baby. She is doing everything and saying everything. She is so smart and since her tubes she has been talking in more complete sentences and has even started talking more at school and with other people. (At home she is always pretty loud) I can’t believe she will be 6 months away from being 3 years old next month!! Breaks my heart!! But we do need to really work on getting her to sleep in her bed and start potty training!!
January 30th, Kindergarten had their 100th day of school celebration
(which basically means a lot of extra work for mommas and a party for the kids)
His shirt and poster he did (mostly) himself!
And sister had to get in on the photo op of course!
We went to Hickory Ridge for Grandpa’s bday lunch on Sunday February 1st, and the kids missed their naps so on the ride home they both passed out!- Ouch!!
Arden had a follow up with the ENT to check her tubes, and they looked great! We walked from the clinic side to the hospital side and Arden wanted to walk by herself. Miss Independent!
Silly monkeys!!
Did I mention the girl can talk?? She is always giving Stratton an earful!!
Stratton is just surprising me with his artistic-ness lately!! He has always liked to color and draw, but lately he is really able to do some pretty great stuff!
(so, maybe not right here. . .but I was impressed that he kept his line in the center that whole way)
BUT it’s almost always TMNT’s!!
This was the Valentine he wanted to send to Grandpa. . .
. . .and this is a masterpiece he gave Nathan at my office. . .
And this was the jewel I saw at school! Nice. . . .Oh, and the blue things are his wings- duh. Not an inter-tube. My bad.
We spent a unseasonably warm Saturday at Gigi and Pops house
Stratton picked up sticks in the gator for Gigi
We even had a hot dog roast!
Sometimes we just celebrate a good day with cookie pops!
February 13th, We took the kids to the Sports show at the convo. They fished. . .
Stratton found something he wanted. . .of course.
For Valentine’s Day Stratton had to make a box.
We also made star wars valentines with pixie stick light sabers. Boys.
The Montessori Mom’s rocked V-day! I have to up my game next year!
Arden gave out Clementine “cuties” and a note that said “you’re a cutie”. . .they were, of course, cute! But another mom had the same idea. I guess that’s what happens when everyone is on pinterest! My favorite was the pirate sword that said “Arrrgggh, you going to be my Valentine?” Ha!! And there’s nothing like 20 2-3 year olds with swords, I’m sure the teachers were thrilled!
We got the kids each a new Red Wolves shirt and a chocolate sucker. Arden also got a rose from her Daddy. So sweet! I got some pretty daisies and some amazing chocolate covered strawberries! Jarrod and I also got to go out to dinner with some friends! Something we’d had planned for months, but we almost didn’t get to go! All of our usual baby sitters were either sick or taking care of the sick! Lucky for us Kayce and Laney weren’t busy and said that the kids could come over and play while we went to dinner! Yay! The kids had so much fun (or at least my 2 did!). We had a great dinner out, too!
I think we have found our Sunday brunch spot!
2 weeks in a row at Godseys!
That about wraps up the last month!
