We had a great weekend! We did a whole lot of nothing, but it was so nice! The weather was nice and sunny but it was really cold! We thought about going to the horse races (I love to people watch!) but being opening weekend at the track there were a lot of people in town, and it was really cold!. If we'd gone we would have probably had to stand outside the whole time and it was just too cold and too crowded for that. Oh well. Maybe I'll get my free Smarty Jones bobblehead doll some other time! Ha! We did a little shopping and went to a movie. By the way, "27 Dresses" is super cute. Jarrod said it was better than he expected and I even heard him laugh out loud a few times! Mostly we just hung out, read, watched some TV and took naps. Ahh. . . the good life.
We got back home late Sunday night after stopping in Little Rock and doing some shopping and then we stopped in Searcy and had dinner with Jarrod's parents.
Unfortunately, I started feeling kind of bad Saturday night and by Monday morning I felt just horrible. I woke up with a sore throat, cough, headache, runny nose. . .the works. So, I decided to stay in bed Monday and rest and medicate myself, hoping that would make me feel better. Later while watching the news I learned that January 21st is the most depressing day of the year! I believe it! It was so dreary and cloudy. Yesterday was pretty depressing, too. Now, I am not opposed to cold temperatures, but at least the sun could shine a little! Anyway, I am starting to feel better today. Thank goodness!
