What we’ve been up to!

We have been so busy since Christmas!

Just a rundown of some of the things we have been up to. . . Stratton spent some time with his Nan and Pa in Searcy the week after Christmas. We have been to several ASU basketball games. We hosted a Cotton Bowl party, since we couldn’t make it to the Go Daddy Bowl that ASU were playing in- maybe next year?! We’ve been to see cousin Adrian play basketball and cousin Isabella play volleyball. We’ve also been able to have a couple lazy Saturdays in between all the madness- which is always nice! Jarrod and I have both been really busy with work lately. Stratton is doing good in school. It took a little while to get back into our routine after the holidays. In the near future we are going to start down the dreaded path to potty training. He was doing so good, but as I suspected would happen, he has completely regressed with the chaos of the holidays! We have got to get back on it!! We have even tried to bribe him, but he’s not interested. He did ask his bible school teacher last night to take him to the potty- but they came and got Jarrod and he took him but nothing happened. But I know he is at least thinking about it some.

Jarrod is still feeling horrible after his procedure. He is in a lot of pain. He went to work Thursday and Friday, but then felt bad Saturday and pretty much stayed in bed all day. Then Sunday he had a pretty good day, but this morning he was really hurting again. He has an appointment with his urologist on Wednesday. I hope it’s almost over. He is so tired of being in pain and not being able to get relief!

Friday night Jarrod’s parents and Jennifer, Daniel and Archer came to visit us. We had dinner at our house, so the boys could play. We had so much fun watching them. They are just a mess when they are together. I got my camera out but they wouldn’t sit still long enough for me to take any pictures.  Saturday evening Stratton and I went to Hickory Ridge for my grandpa’s birthday party. I did get some cute pictures, I will have to post later- I took them on my DLSR and haven’t downloaded the pics yet.  Yesterday was a normal Sunday- church, lunch, nap, church again then dinner! I am glad that Jarrod felt somewhat better yesterday, because I got to take a NAP! I needed it, too. After not sleeping well because Jarrod is getting up and down all night, and having to get up early with Stratton, I have been exhausted! No rest in sight either. . . .

We have a busy month ahead! February is always crazy- with Valentines Day, Jarrod and I both having birthdays, several of our friends have birthdays and lots of other stuff! I have several baby showers this month, and we are also planning on taking Stratton to Fayetteville to see a basketball game! He constantly asks if we can go see the Hogs, so we are going to try to take him!

I will try to do better about posting some pictures, since I have my blog issues worked out now! I am so relieved that it wasn’t a bigger deal! I have been so frustrated that I couldn’t post pictures! I was just about to call it quits on blogging altogether!! I have updated the Christmas posts so you can go back and read those if you want! There are some cute pictures!

I think I have discovered the root of my blogger issues!! Apparently I have used my full 1 GB of free storage on my Google Picasa account (where the pictures you upload are actually stored) and they simply needed some money from me before allowing me to post more photos. It was $5 a year for 20 GB- Not bad at all!!  But it looks like the memory is slow to kick in, so it might be 24 hours before I can post pictures again.

But we are on the road to being back in business and NOT having to switch blogs! Whew!! Talk about a crisis averted!!

Jarrod's rough day

Whew. If you didn't know before, Jarrod gets kidney stones. Well, he's had one very large one (That was 12mm which is not passable)for 2 years now and he finally decided to get it taken care of since it has been bothering him more frequently lately. His procedure was yesterday and they were supposed to have light sedation then they would use a laser contraption to blast the kidney stone and break it up into small passable pieces. While they were trying to sedate him, he got sick and so they had to put him completely under, and then they had trouble intubating him. Apparently, he has small airways. They even gave us a form that we a supposed to take to any future surgeries or procedures. So they finally got him sediated did the procedure and it all went well. He did bust a blood vessel in his eye when he got sick in the OR, so he looks just awful! Poor guy!

All was well, he was uncomfortable but was handling the pain well... Until about 2pm when the pan got unbearable and the Percocet wasn't helping at all! He put a call in to his Dr., who told him to try and tough it out till 9am when his office opened. He tried as long as he could but around 4:35, he had had enough. So my brother came over and stayed with Stratton while I took Jarrod to the ER. They gave him some good pain medication and we were back home around 8am. Jarrod rested and napped most of the day and so far hasn't needed anymore pain meds today. I am hoping that he can rest tonight and scan get some sleep! My mom and dad came earlier in the day and they took Stratton home with them in case we have another rough night. But hopefully it will be better than last night!

Issues!

I am having some major problems with my blogging program, live writer. For some reason it isn't letting me upload my posts. I am working to resolve the issue. . . Which may end up moving my blog to another provider that doesn't limit image uploads. I have all my posts from the past couple of weeks ready to upload so maybe I will figure it out soon!
