The Greatest Show on Earth (or at least in Jonesboro)

We took Stratton to the circus tonight! I thought he would really like it and he did! Surprisingly, I think his favorite part was when they brought out about 7 different dogs and had them do tricks. He got really excited and was talking and pointing. I think the rest of the show was overwhelming and he didn't hardly move, I think he barely blinked! He was so good and we couldn't have asked him to be any better behaved. However it was late by the time it was over and he was sound asleep before we even got out of the parking lot!

Craighead Forest Park/Pictures

We met local photographer, Lindsey Turner for pictures tonight. They were rescheduled from April 16th and were supposed to be "easter pictures" but because it was so cold and yucky that Saturday she decided to do them today which was the first sunny, non-rainy day we have had in a while! I haven't seen them yet, but I'm sure she got some good ones, despite Stratton's uncooperative mood! He didn't want any part of standing where she wanted him to, or smiling at her! I think she might have gotten a smirk or two, but not a full out smile. After our session with her, we took Stratton down to the water and park, which he really liked. He loved the playground with all the slides and steps. We will be taking him back!

More Easter

After Church at Hickory Ridge we went back to my mom and dad’s for Easter dinner and we also had Brandye’s birthday.  Mom tried to take some family pictures of us, but that’s not easy. Stratton will not be still, will not smile and basically won’t cooperate on any level!

Can you see the look on my face- I think I was gritting my teeth!

151

Now, look at Stratton’s face- familiar??

After lunch and Brandye’s birthday, we played outside and hunted eggs again.

Easter Morning!

The Easter Bunny came and left goodies at Pops and Gigi’s house! Stratton must have know, because he woke up at 6:30 and he NEVER gets up that early at their house! He got lots of fun stuff and a “Potty Book”! He was most excited about the candy though. He keep bringing me the egg with the Reeses bunny and saying “Num-Num!”, so he had ONE. And he still slept through church!

Easter with the Staggs'

Saturday after the egg hunt Jarrod's mom and dad had dinner at their house for easter and Jennifer's bday. We spent a long time outside letting Stratton burn off some energy! He wore himself out!

Stratton’s 1st visit to Harding and Spring Sing

We took Stratton to Spring Sing at “mommy’s school” Friday night. We had to pick up our tickets a little earlier so we also took a quick stroll around the Benson and Student Center and through the bible building. Stratton was so good! I think his favorite part was the fountain. He was on his best behavior during the show (I followed the rules and didn’t take any photos) he sat very still and watched it carefully. He was a little confused at first, he’s never seen something like that live in person! After intermission he got really sleepy and passed out about 9:00pm. We stayed through the club stuff then snuck out early before the finale.

“OHH WATER!!”

Sorry, buddy that fountain is just for baptizing!

Happy day!

Yay! Just got the dishwasher put it! Isn't it pretty! Is it normal to be this excited about an appliance?

What an expensive week!

Last Tuesday our air conditioner broke. $300 later it's working again. Then we had some bad storms last Thursday night, and lightening fried out dishwasher. Paid $100 to get someone to tell us we are better off buying a new one and then $600 for a new one plus installation! Then we had more bad storms Tuesday night that whopper-jawed the double gate on the fence. Not sure how much that is going to cost to fix! Whew! Being a home owner is so expensive. But on the bright side I have a sparkly new and quieter dishwasher! By the way if you live in the area and need appliances you should go to Metro Appliances And More- Amazing!! They have a lot of kitchens "set up", the best selection around and the lowest prices. It really made me want to build a house! Especially when I saw the oiled bronze stainless appliances by Jenn-Air. It's crazy expensive but so cool!

Yeah my parents are so wrapped around his finger. He wanted to ride the tractor, so my dad drove him across the road to my grandma and grandpa's house on the lawn mower with the spray rig on it and everything?!
