Little Stinker!

So the Halloween costume came in yesterday and guess what?? Stratton HATES it! I managed to get him in it for a few minutes and these are all the pictures I got. He was screaming and trying to pull it off!

We are sending it back because there is no use in keeping it if he isn't going to wear it! Oh well it was a cute idea!

To Grandma's house we go. . .

Sunday Stratton and I went to Hickory Ridge since Jarrod had to work. After church we hung out at my grandma & grandpa's house because my dad had the stomach virus and we didn't want to catch it! We ate lunch and then played outside for awhile before heading home.

Stratton at 15 months

Stratton at 15 months in one word: MESS!! He is into everything! Loves to climb, be outside and play in the dirt. . .pretty much an average boy! He is very vocal! Even though we can't understand what he is jabbering about he likes to tell us about it! We can catch a word or two sometimes! I think he tries to sing sometimes, but it's not been anything I recognize so far. This week I told him to go get a book out of the bookcase and bring it back and he actually did it! He usually gets side tracked on the way to the bookshelf and never makes it there and back with a book. Hooray for small victories!! One night Jarrod read The Big Red Barn (one of his favorites) like 5 times. When he got done reading Stratton would turn it back to the first page and want him to read it again! ha-ha!

Sunday afternoon I was in the living room folding clothes and Stratton was in the kitchen (I could hear him) then all the sudden it got really quiet. . . . hmmmm. . .quiet isn't something I am used to lately. . .so I went to see what he was up to, and this is what I found. . . .

IMG_3459

He had gone in our bedroom and found a laundry basket and decided to sit in it?? There he sat just content as could be??

IMG_3460

He loves shoes and socks, so when he found a sock of Jarrod's in a laundry basket he wanted to put it on! It's pretty funny that Jarrod's foot and Stratton's whole leg are the same size. Jarrod does have some big feet though!

We took him for his 15 month checkup and shots this morning and he did great! He even got his first flu shot (well, half of it, we go back for the other half next month) he did so good he got 3 suckers! Which he was happy about. . . me, not so much.

Weight: 26 lbs~ 75th percentile | Height: 32.5"~ 90th percentile | He is wearing 18-24 size or some 2T's in clothes, size 6 shoe, size 4 diapers| He still takes 2 naps, one in the morning and one in the afternoon on a good day | He goes to sleep around 8pm most nights and is up and ready to go at 6:00am

He is getting so big, I can't believe that he is walking and talking and getting so smart!

Pumpkin Hollow

Saturday we went to Pumpkin Hollow in Piggott. Our friends Ryan and Erica and their kids, Carson and Olivia went too! It was a really neat place. There were a lot of different activities for the kiddos! A Hayride, corn maze, pumpkin patch, friendly forest trail, petting zoo, and lots more! We had a great day! It could have been about 20 degrees cooler! A hayride just doesn't seem right when it's 90! We left Jonesboro about 9:30 am and got to Piggott in a little over an hour. We thought the babies would sleep the way there, but of course they didn't! So Stratton was sleepy the whole time, but he still behaved himself for the most part. We ate lunch there and then left about 1:30. We decided since the kids needed a nap (Stratton passed out before we even left) that we would drive to Sikeston to the outlet mall which was about 120 miles away. The only store worth going to was a Carter's, but it was worth the stop I got Stratton some more winter daycare clothes and pj's. Then we loaded back up and stopped in Holcomb at Strawberry's for supper! Stratton would not eat the pork steak!! He actually spit it out?! Luckily I got baked beans which he ate along with my toast and half of Jarrod's, the boy loves bread! We had a really fun day, but we were all exhausted!!

Stratton and Olivia were all smiles when we got there!

They had lots of fun playing in the 3 little pigs house.

Life's a moving!

We've had a busy last couple of weeks! Stratton got another cold and was running a pretty high fever so we took him to the Dr and they said to keep giving him zyrtec and put him on an antibiotic. I had to stay home with him one day and Jarrod had to stay home with him another day. He bounced back pretty quickly, thank goodness! We are too busy to be sick!!

On Thursday September 23rd, Stratton got his first hair cut! He didn't like sitting in the chair by himself, so I had to hold him. . .which means no pictures. And it just so happens that I left my camera at home anyway!! I NEVER do that?!! I got one quick (and horrible) picture on my phone. I just wanted her to trim off the top so I could "fix it" cute. He had really long hair in the front and no hair in the back. Now it's a little more uniform.  He didn't really like the experience, but at least it's over with and he shouldn't need another one for awhile!

After ~ Isn't it too cute!

On Friday (the 24th) we went to Searcy to the football game with Jarrod's family and got to see several of his friends. They were having a "Class of 2000" reunion but we didn't get there till the game started and missed the tailgating part. Oh well. Stratton was really restless this time. It was really warm and humid again and just not "football weather" yet. But he looked super cute!!

IMG_3387

Since it is finally getting a little cooler, we have been playing outside a lot. Stratton will say "side!" meaning outside. . .and he can hear the door open from the other side of the house and will come running. . "side! side!" and then throw a fit when you don't take him out. He gets mad when we let the cat out and won't let him out! ha-ha! If only!! I wish we could play in the back yard with Sadey, but she is still such a hyper puppy and I am afraid she would get excited and knock Stratton down, so we stay in the front yard most of the time. Put Stratton knows where to find the dog and will walk to the fence and she will come running! He thinks it's so funny when she licks him from under the fence.

This past weekend Stratton spend most of it at my mom and dad's house. Jarrod took him on Saturday when he went to the farm. Stratton woke up on Saturday saying "trat-or". He got to ride the tractor again with Jarrod Saturday morning. I spent the day doing laundry and I cleaned off the front porch and put my fall wreath and garland on the front door. Sunday was the church homecoming at Hickory Ridge, so we went to church there and then stayed for the potluck. Stratton stayed with my mom and dad Sunday night, since it was my mom's Monday to be off work. They came back to Jonesboro Monday afternoon and went to church with us Monday night. We had a gospel meeting Sat-Tues at Valley View, and it was really good! So, we have been rushing in from work trying to get S fed and bathed by 6:30 every night! I enjoyed the gospel meeting and regular church last night but I am ready to just be at home with no where to go tonight! Plus, our laundry is really piling up! We don't have any major plans for this weekend. Since Daddy is done cutting rice and not ready to start on the beans, Jarrod isn't needed on the farm and I am hoping that we can work in the yard some more and get some new mulch down and the house washed, but we will see. I have a tendency to make a lot of plans for the weekend but then when it gets here I lose my motivation!!
