The week I almost lost my mind. . .

The kids were out all week. ALL. WEEK!

The snow/ice/sleet started Sunday night and was enough to make everything pretty slick, and then it didn’t get warmer and then another round came through early Friday morning! Actually, Arden went to school on Thursday and Stratton came to work with me for awhile and then my mom came and got him, and he ran around with her for the rest of the day and then Pops came up too! But Friday we were all back at home again! We had planned to go to Branson this past weekend, but that obviously didn’t happen! Poor Jarrod had a birthday in the middle of this nasty stuff! We didn’t do much in the way of celebrating till Thursday! The kids and I got him a couple presents and cupcakes from Gigi’s and then my mom and dad took us all out to eat at Ruby Tuesday. We also decided to venture out as a family on Friday night and went to the Fitts family’s house for dinner and then slipped and slid all the way home, as it had been freezing rain while we were there! I think the worst of it (for us at least) is over! Bring on Spring!!

We played with the fake snow, play-doh, paint. . .all kinds of crafts! You name it we probably did it!

We played outside a little, but it wasn’t snow- more sleet and ice so it wasn’t much fun.

This would be my mother. . .

After she sled down the hill and crashed into the fence and broke a fence board! Ha! Don’t worry, she was fine.

This is how winter is done, folks!

I mean I don’t blame her! Who wants to get all wet and cold! I’d rather be warm and snuggly in my bed looking through a catalog and watching my ipad too!

But the week at home with crazy active kids is too much! I’m glad we are all back at school and work! Whew!!
