11 weeks and counting

I've officially made it to my 3rd trimester. Yay! It really seems like the last 2 went by really fast! Since I will have a scheduled c-section around 39 weeks, that really only leaves us with a little less than 11 weeks to go if I make it full term. And so far so good! However, I'm not one of those gals that loves to be pregnant anyway (I actually know a few of you are)but it seems like things just start getting hard during the last 12 weeks of pregnancy . . .at least for me. I am so thankful that we have had such an uneventful and healthy time so far! I'm hoping and praying that continues! And I try to enjoy this time since it will probably be the last time I am pregnant, but it's hard when your miserable! I'm not going to go into details but the lack of sleep and constant back pain is wearing me down! And the sweltering heat doesn't help! But again, I'm so thankful that I'm not on bed rest and dealing with gestational diabeties this time, so I should quit complaining!

Stratton has been giving us a hard time lately with a new phase of fits. Theses new meltdowns can be triggered by the most ridiculous stuff! We have (by trial and error) found that letting him go to his room and letting him cry it out works best. There is no rationalizing with him when he's that upset. I just hope this passes before the baby comes! Oh and during one of these fits in the past week he actually screamed at me to "Mind my business!". . . Just where does he get the attitude! Oh, he got it adjusted that day for sure! But it just wears me out!

Oh girl! I hope he gets over the fits now. I can't begin to explain how Madden changed after Carly. The first month was great, but the past 2 have been FULL of serious mood swings, hitting, screaming, etc. He went from getting time out once every couple of weeks to several times a day! We finally set him down and explained things again (how much we love him and that she "talks" by crying--he was getting mad when she cried but now he asks what she's trying to say) and I guess he was ready to listen...it has been better the past week or so. I know you've been told this (and you know already) but make him seem needed and helpful. M loves helping put Carly to bed, help with baths, etc but I always give him the choice. The hardest part for him has been the constant "hang on, Madden, Carly needs...." So I've started making an effort to be overly obvious saying to Carly "hang on, Madden needs me to do..." Like I said, hopefully S will get over it now!!! Can't wait for sweet Arden to get here!
