The kids spring break was the week before Easter, which was odd. But it worked out great. The kids got to go to Searcy to stay with Nan and Pa for a few days!
Jarrod and I headed to Searcy Friday night and stayed the night. On Saturday after lunch we met Kristen, Kate and Ian at Harding for the egg hunt on the front lawn.
I hate that this is so blurry. This is kinda where our story began. I was living in this dorm, Patty Cobb, when I met Jarrod! He would pick me up at these very doors. Now here we are 16 years later.
I love going back to campus on days like this. I mean this place sells itself. The front lawn is beautiful! It’s also Bison Days weekend so there are lots of activities for future students and alumni both. It’s nice to see so many friendly faces walking around making plans or reminising. I hope we can continue to keep this a tradition. It’s just so nice to come back here and meet back up with friends and visit! We didn’t make it to Spring Sing this year, but hopefully we can make it next year!
I don’t know what was up with my phone but thankfully it cleared up?
Stratton and Ian. They think they are cousins. Ha!
Kristen and Me! Man, how time has flown! She was also my roomate in Patty Cobb when I met Jarrod. Time sure flies by! I so wish we lived closer, but that’s never going to happen! We just have to make the most of the time we have!
After we egg hunted and visited for a bit we went to the student center to get drinks and then Kristen and her family had tickets to see Spring Sing. So we just walked around campus for a bit. Arden was getting cranky so we did last too long. But it was just such a nice day we had to enjoy it! After awhile the students came back out and were playing frisbee and laying around in hammocks. Stratton couldn’t understand what they were doing there. I had to explain that they lived here! He was preplexed. I think he’s just starting to understand what college is!
Beside the art building where I spent LOTS of time!
After the egg hunt we went back to Nan and Pa’s for a bit and played and then ate dinner with them before moving on to Hickory Ridge.
We spent the night at Gigi and Pop’s house and the Easter bunny managed to find the kids and left their baskets full of goodies!
Arden wasn’t having her picture made. It was too early for her.
Finally a smile!
Jarrod ended up having to go to work, so the kids and I stayed and Gigi and Pops took us home later that evening.
Pre-church picture. . . guess we’ll have to try again later.
After church pictures! Much better! But minus Jarrod.
After lunch with the family we played outside and hunted more eggs! The weather was so nice and the perfect day to spend outside.
